Advocating for patients, APRNS, improving patient access to needed diabetic shoes and home health care

Posted about 6 years ago by Dr. Irene Bean, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN

TN Nurse Practitioners representing TN in Washington.

Firstly, I appreciate the efforts each of these ladies played as we discussed Full Practice Authority, regulating DME barriers for NPs, and allowing access to prescribing Home Health. These are valid concerns for NPs, not only in TN but throughout our great States.

Secondly, it was great having like-minded cohorts who value our profession.

If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of Health Policies and avenues to advocate for issues which affect patients and APRNs,  do not miss an opportunity to share with Dr. Penny K. Jensen.  Dr  Jensen is a nationally recognized Nurse Practitioner who is a leading advocate for our profession. She has worked tirelessly with a team of experts presenting evidence-based data to the Congressional members in support of advancing independence for APRNs.  Seats are still available.  Registration:  www.tnnpa.com March 27-30,2018 @ Omni Nashville, TN.
