Free Opiate CME & Renewal of Notice and Formulary

Posted almost 9 years ago by Dr. Irene Bean, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN

I have spoken to TN Board of Nursing for opiate prescribing CMEs offered to NPs. If you are credentialing this year, you will require one (1) CME. In 2016, we will be required to have two (2) CMEs. For those wanting to save money, follow these steps:http://tn.gov/health/article/nursing-about. Under the "featured links" click the "2 hour continuing education" link. This will bring you to the Powerpoint by: Tennessee Department of Health and Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University presents the Chronic Pain Guidelines Symposia. This will allow you to choose the live or on-line symposia, FREE. This has 3 credits.

However, if you click on http://www.etsu.edu/com/cme/ChronicPain2015.aspx to register, you go directly to the site.

Also, for those who have not renewed the Notice and Formulary, please do so.  The opiate CE and Notice and Formulary are on the list for audits.

Hope this will assist you.
